Thoughts from the Chief Pilot

by Duane Button

A common theme we’ve picked up from conversations with our customers is that “The Cloud” means different things to different people, which is quite scary.  Security, performance, flexibility, price, experience with the technology and the expertise to operate it are big areas of concern and risk.  Having fourteen plus year of experience as a private pilot, I can tell you that flying in the clouds can absolutely be scary and I’ve come to realize that there are several parallels in comparing cloud computing and flying in clouds.  One must have the proper equipment, training, experience and knowledge of the environment to fly safely in the clouds.

Cloudbackers Mission

Our mission at CloudBackers is to provide our customers with the right equipment (applications and services), training, expertise and knowledge of the fast changing landscape that is “The Cloud”.   With decades of experience in building and supporting service provider networks, we are uniquely qualified to review our customers’ current environment and recommend changes and upgrades to the network or the infrastructure that has often resulted in significant cost savings.  We have then used these savings to pay for a backup, disaster recovery or business continuity solution that can drastically reduce or eliminate the systemic business risk of having no credible backup or disaster recovery plan. Solving these problems, while saving our customers money, has been a very rewarding endeavor.  Here at CloudBackers, we are obsessed with our customers’ success.  Please feel free to contact us today and put us to work for you!
